Selçuklu Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi(Selcuklu Science and Art Center)is the place in which students who have IQ score above 130 and high level performance in leardership,intelligence capacity,creavity or specific academic areas than their peers are educated outside the school time.
There are 240 students and 19 teachers in our institution.Teachers in this institution have to take some exams to work.According to results of the exams,teachers are selected like students.
Thanks to consultanting of their teachers,students take part in competitions, especially for national and international competitions like making robots, writing poems and articles,drawing pictures,learning and teaching Turkish and English Language, geography-chemistry-biology-physics projects.For this year our institution applied for the 4006 project exhibition which belongs to Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey(TUBITAK).On may,we will arrange an exhibition that share twenty activities by doing them with our parents,other students and teachers.
Also we applied for the 4004 which belongs to Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey(TUBITAK) about Nature education and science schools.This project is only for disadvantaged groups of students who live in villages and they are far from every kind of opportunities.
Every weekend,there are some courses like making robot,drawing pictures and astronomy.
Not only students of this institution but also from other schools’ students can take part in these weekend courses.
